Combining management systems after a merger or acquisition is painstaking work. Your team has to scrutinise overlapping processes and procedures to resolve conflicts. They must decide which procedures and responsibilities to carry forward, and who should own them.
Conflicts can arise when two operators assign the same duty to different roles, or to a role that no longer exists in the target organisation. This can leave responsibilities without a clear owner.
Synapse uses AI to extract documented responsibilities, with their quoted source text. It also identifies company requirements expressed as "must", "shall" or "should". Its comparison and onboarding workflows bring potential conflicts and gaps into review, including duties assigned to roles that do not match your organisation's role list.
Work through the differences
Reviewers check each finding and record a decision. Proposed amendments go to the document owner for approval.
Approved changes can be exported and grouped by document, showing what needs updating, where, why and who approved it.
Document owners make the edits in the controlled documents and re-upload them. Synapse shows changes to the extracted responsibilities for reviewers to verify, while retaining the previous version.
